Our story began with a dream that Takuya Okada, our founder, had while travelling to the United States. Inspired by the large-scale retail chains there, he returned to Japan with newfound enthusiasm and shared his vision with Kazuchi Futagi and Jiro Inoue, owners of their own mid-sized retail business.
Together, they formed Japan United Stores Company (JUSCO) in 1969, aiming to provide Japanese customers with the best value, products, and services.
